How to Take Screenshot On Android – Screenshots are images of whatever is on the screen of your phone at the time of taking the screenshot. And with most Android mobile devices, you can take screenshots by pressing and holding down the Volume-down button and the Power button simultaneously.

Meanwhile, there is exception to those mobile phone devices running Android versions lower than 4.0 version.

There are different reasons or benefits for which Screenshot features has been incorporated into Android devices. They are helpful when you need to show tech support what’s going or what is wrong with your phone.

Android screenshots can also be used to capture something over the internet or to show evidence of phishing or threatening messages.

How to Take Screenshot On Android

The following steps explain how to take screenshot on Android irrespective of who made your Android phone; Samsung, Xiaomi, Infinix etc.

1. Navigate to the screen you want to record with the screenshot.

2. Press the Power button and the Volume-down button at the same time. It might take some trial-and-error practice to master the simultaneous pressing.

3. Hold both buttons down until you hear an audible click when the screenshot is taken. If you don’t hold the buttons down until you hear the click, your phone may turn off the screen or lower the volume.

Tip: Look for the screenshot in your Photo Gallery in a Screenshots folder.

How to Take Screenshot On Android Using Phone’s Built-in Shortcuts

For some phone devices like Samsung which comes with a built-in screenshot feature; press the Power and Home buttons, hold for a second and release when the screen flashes to take a screenshot and place it in your Gallery. To find out if your phone has a screenshot tool, either check the manual or do a Google search for “[name of phone] take a screenshot.”

NOTE: There might also be a device-specific app you can download to take screenshots on your Android phones.
